  Novel Synopsis:

  Holly McGee travels north to the Alaskan bush to teach in a village school. Her teen son Shane reluctantly accompanies her.

  While their village, along with the rest of Alaska, is struggling with what might be the onset of global warming, Shane is afraid he’s losing his sanity. Or is he actually the village’s salvation?
