We’ve had these stubborn lilacs for years, but they never did bloom until the spring after I lost Bryan.

I love lilacs. Those are lovely. I hope they smell as nice as they look.

Yes, they do smell lovely – they’re plain ol’ Syringa Vulgaris, the basic lilac species and the one that smells the most amazing.

I so miss having Lilacs in the yard…at my parents house the driveway was lined with them and they always smelled so wonderful. A scent of my childhood. Thanks for sharing that pic Jeri, it helps bring back wonderful memories.
