Thank You

This photo, taken in the late 1950s, is of Women’s Army Corps (WAC) soldiers presenting the colors. The US flag bearer is my mother, Sgt Marilynn Barham.
Today, I’d like to express to her, to my dad, my military family and friends, as well as the countless men and women across the nation who have served in our armed forces…
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Go, Mom! So cool.
My favorite quote, for those who appreciate not only vets, but those who serve them:
“Honor to the Soldier, and Sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor also to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field, and serves, as he best can, the same cause — honor to him, only less than to him, who braves, for the common good, the storms of heaven and the storms of battle.”
Abraham Lincoln, December 2, 1863

That’s a fantastic picture, Jeri. A big thank you from me as well, to your family and to all vets.
