A few years ago, a friend loaned me an Eva Cassidy CD, and I was immediately hooked. When Eva lost her battle with cancer in 1996, the world lost an incredible musician. Take the time to check out her work – it spans blues, jazz, gospel, Broadway classics, folk and pop – she defies categorization.

I have all her CDs. Such a beautiful voice, and the ability to make a song absolutely her own. Her version of “Fields of Gold” (the Sting song) is outstanding. I also love her version of “Autumn Leaves.” I’m glad someone else knows about her. I didn’t know there was any footage of her singing, so thanks for showing me there is.
