I went to a Seahawks game on Sunday. It was a lot of fun, Bryan’s season tickets are in a really great section.

In a couple of weeks, my inlaws are coming up so that Bryan and his dad can go the Seahawks/Bengals game together. I decided to take a look at the cost of another couple of tickets for my mother-in-law and myself.

First, the game itself (as well as most of the season) is sold out. There are no tickets left available at regular ticket prices. On resale sites, like StubHub or RazorGator, tickets in the same section as Bryan are running around $225 each. The cheapest price in the stadium for a pair of end-line nosebleed tickets – with a workout’s worth of stairclimbing – is about $110 each.

Football games are fun. I enjoyed the last one a lot. But I don’t enjoy it $225 worth – or $450 for the two of us! That’s absolutely ridiculous.

Unbelievable.

As a postscript, Bryan could pretty much pay for his season tickets by just selling 3 pair of them on one of these sites. But that’s not why he’s got them… he wants to be a football fan!
