Sunday Morning Coming Down

And so, it ends. I found myself once again wound up for this past weekend’s playoff game. I really didn’t think the team had a great chance of winning, just a chance. When the oddsmakers put you as a 9 point underdog in the NFL, that means no one really takes your chances all that seriously.

Well, seriously, we did ok, even if we did lose. Given all the injuries, we did pretty well taking the #1 seeded Bears into overtime. Latest revelation on injuries…Matt Hasselbeck had 2 broken fingers on his non-throwing hand the last 8 weeks. Look, he had an up and down year, but when you are snapped the ball…it sort of hurts a healthy hand.

Anyway, I’m disappointed, but not really heartsick. I think given all that happend injury wise, and all that teams were gunning for us, it was a remarkable season that we made it to the final 8 teams in the league. While yes, there is room for and need for improvement, we’ll be back in it again next year.
