Giving Thanks
For Thanksgiving, we went down to Rainier and spent the day at my mom’s home. Mom and her roommate Mary (at right) were there, plus my husband Bryan and my teens Ben and Zach. My sister Cheri and her husband Andy (at end of post) came by for dessert. We had way too much to eat, and a really wonderful day with family.
One of my favorite discussion topics at Thanksgiving is for everyone to name two things they’re thankful for:

Zach (left): life and Xbox
Ben (right): video game technology and digital music technology
Andy: coffee – and cups
Cheri: her honey-bunny (Andy) and the ability to be happy
Mary: health and safety
Mom: her family and many blessings
Me: that we now live in the Puget Sound and can spend the holidays with family, and the doggies
Bryan: his wife (me) and velveeta cheese with chili (ed. note – ick!!)
If I were to brainstorm a personal list of all the things I’m thankful for, it’d be longer than my arm. And I need to remember to be grateful on a daily basis, not just the fourth Thursday of November. Happy Thanksgiving.
